Business Development Manager Recruitment is a strategic role at Sea-Faj Consults, a multinational recruitment and workforce outsourcing firm with a strong presence in Nigeria and the UK. We help organizations build, manage, and scale their workforce seamlessly across borders.

We are looking for a results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive aggressive revenue growth, secure high-value partnerships, and expand our footprint as a leading workforce solutions provider in Africa.

Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Develop and implement a robust business development strategy to drive revenue growth across Recruitment, Outsourcing, and EOR service lines.
  • Identify, prospect, and convert new business opportunities across key sectors such as Oil & Gas, Financial Services, FMCG, Technology, NGOs, and Multinational Corporations.
  • Manage a structured sales pipeline from lead generation to contract closure, ensuring consistent achievement of revenue targets.
  • Prepare tailored proposals, presentations, and pitch materials to meet client needs and highlight competitive advantages.
  • Negotiate contracts, commercial terms, and SLAs in alignment with company policies and profitability goals.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers, including CHROs, HR Directors, Procurement Leads, and CEOs.
  • Conduct regular client engagement and account reviews to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Act as a client advocate internally, ensuring service excellence and client satisfaction.
  • Address and resolve escalated client concerns promptly and professionally to ensure retention.

EOR & Outsourcing Growth

  • Promote and sell Sea-faj’s EOR solutions to companies seeking to engage contractors, freelancers, or employees across Nigeria and other African markets without establishing a legal entity.
  • Educate clients on compliance risks, payroll obligations, and the strategic benefits of EOR partnerships.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure accurate structuring of EOR agreements.
  • Drive outsourcing mandates, including staff augmentation, managed services, and contract staffing.

Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes impacting recruitment and EOR markets in Nigeria and Africa.
  • Provide market insights and competitive intelligence to senior leadership to inform service development and pricing strategies.
  • Represent Sea-faj at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on campaigns, case studies, and digital content to support lead generation.

Reporting & Governance

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all business development activities in the CRM system.
  • Provide regular sales pipeline reports, revenue forecasts, and performance dashboards to the Managing Director.
  • Ensure all commercial activities comply with Sea-faj’s policies, legal frameworks, and ethical standards.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in B2B sales or business development within HR services, Staffing/Recruitment, Outsourcing, or professional services.
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of the Nigerian labour market, employment law, and HR outsourcing landscape.
  • Experience engaging with C-suite and senior HR stakeholders in corporate environments.
  • Exceptional proposal writing, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with Employer of Record (EOR) or Professional Employer Organisation (PEO) models.
  • Exposure to cross-border workforce solutions or pan-African HR services.
  • Existing network of relationships with HR leaders, procurement professionals, or CFOs in Nigeria.
  • Postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) or relevant professional certifications (CIPM, CIPD, etc.).
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales analytics platforms.

Day-to-Day

  • Prospect and engage with potential clients to identify their workforce needs.
  • Develop and deliver tailored proposals and presentations to secure new business.
  • Conduct regular client meetings to strengthen relationships and identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the industry.
  • Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to senior leadership.
